There’s no quicker way to put a spring in your step than with a beautiful print. You know, the kind that makes you smile as soon as you spot it in the wardrobe.
We’re known at David Nieper for our exclusive, hand-rendered prints that you simply won’t find anywhere else, and this season’s collection is no exception. As our very own Fabric Print Developer, Sarah Allen says; “We choose our prints very deliberately – it’s not just about what will make a pretty printed top...we try to get a balance of lots of different styles so that there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes.”

Nothing brings to mind spring and sunshine quite like a floral print. Whether you like something modern and vibrant or prefer dainty and delicate, a good floral is always easy to wear, ultra feminine and figure-flattering – it’s a print that simply never goes out of style. Something like our Every Occasion dress is teaming with pinks, blues and creams so it’s easy to style with a simple cardigan or a smart jacket for a special occasion.
You may traditionally associate the timeless check print with cold weather garments like wool coats or scarves but it makes a terrific springtime print when softened with pretty pastels. The delicate splash of colour you’ll find in our jersey skirt and check trousers are gorgeous examples of brightening up a check, and both look stunning when worn with a beautifully lightweight knit.
A good polka dot will take you through the spring season and beyond – whether they’re bringing a pop of colour under your favourite coat or brightening up your best jeans. You could opt for a day-to-night ditsy dot, or for something totally timeless try navy and white. If you fancy being bolder, try an elegant shade of emerald or a vibrant poppy red.
Whether you like a classic Breton-style or prefer a modern colour block, a stripey top is a great way to brighten up simple outfits. Spring is also a prime season for layering so lovely lightweight knits and jersey tops are a great staple to stock up in your wardrobe for a contemporary look under coats, jackets and gilets.
