Our Designer’s Spring EditMarch 2020
In case you hadn’t heard, every David Nieper garment is designed and made in-house – from first sketch to final stitch. That means we’re lucky to know our designers personally, and they’re always on-hand to answer our questions or share styling ideas.
Nobody knows our collection better than our design team, so we headed upstairs to speak to Louise Housley, Head of Design, and Sarah Allen, Fabric Print Developer, and asked them about some of their top picks from the latest spring collection. If you’re thinking about adding to your spring and summer wardrobe, this is the perfect place to start!Spring Collection
Relaxed ladies’ dresses
“When it comes to spring and summer dresses, we know our customers love a loose, pull-on style. No cling, no fuss,” said Louise. “This shape is beautifully simple, and the relaxed design is really comfortable. In fact, we’re so proud of the design that we’ve made it in several different prints and colour palettes – one to suit every wardrobe. It’s going to be a huge hit this season.”
Printed ladies’ trousers
“Floral prints are always popular, and on women’s trousers they’re feminine and fabulous,” said Sarah. “So, our Floral Stretch Cotton-rich Trousers are definitely a favourite – they’re brilliant for spring. If a customer likes prints, we also have some gorgeous printed palazzos this season, in both soft stretch jersey and luxurious silk."
Lightweight spring and summer fabrics
Louise continued: “Thinking about fabric, one of my top picks would definitely be our Cool Cotton and Linen Blend Shirt. It’s easy and breezy, great styled open over a vest on hot days. Cotton voile shirts are also a fab choice when the sun’s out; they’ll cover your shoulders while keeping you nice and cool.”
